My paternal grandfather, great grandmother & great aunt were from a village near Aberdeen. In the early 19th C. and before my family owned a company in Aberdeen which built ships. My husband and I plan to visit Aberdeen and the village that is named Strath Don (upon the Don River it means) where all of the kin mentioned were born and bred. What I would like to know is how long are histories supposed to be and are you supposed to put in only the ancient history? Any info about writing histories would be appreciated. |

The simple answer is write as much, or as little as you are able Linda-Mary and then email it to Chris and Sarah who will add it where appropriate. Thank you for thinking of POE whilst adding information for the members. |
