Gordon Alfred Cavell

I explored Ramsgate with a lot of help from a local bookshop owner and history buff. I was able to piece together various bits of information and concluded that alfred was actually Stephen Alfred, the son of Horatio Cavell. He is not included in the listing of descendants of Robertus de den Cavell but it appears that is where he belongs. any connection to Edith Cavell is distant and tenuous.

I was able to find the house Horatio lived in. The street is now called cantral Road but was Thornton Road back then.

Looks like Alfred ran away as a young man.
