Pamela - if you are certain that your George Nunn was b 1863 Bury St Edmunds Suffolk and his parents were John & Mary Ann, then I think you will find there is a possibility of 2 marriages (I am still looking for the first one) but he married Deborah Ellen Knock in Dec 1889 in Bury St Edmunds.  Deborah was born in (or around) 1869 Hundon Suffolk.  This George Nunn died probably Jun quarter 1904 in Bury St Edmunds.  According to census information he was a Fish Hawker and Paper Seller.  There were several children all born in Bury St Edmunds.  After his death Deborah Helen (this time) Nunn married Valentine Downing in Sep quarter 1906.

Hope that helps!! :-)

I'd like to know how Pam arrived at her George Nunn? Via one of his children I presume?  Above shown there's two George Nunn's with Bury St Edmunds connections.

Near the end of 1880, two more George Nunn's got married  there both noticably older than born 1863.  One married Maria Cook and the other married Charlotte Bridges.

The one mentioned in Derbyshire died in 1940, aged 78 and by 1911, he'd had 8 children 3 of whom had already died and a widow since 1901. I'd be inclined to think this is the right one going by your Derbyshire connections.

It would help considerably if more information could be given when looking for help.  From this side obviously neither Paul nor I can be sure we have the right George Nunn - how did you come by your conclusions as to who he married Pamela??

Your correct spouse was as you stated---Selina Neale (1866-1901)-

daughter of Joseph Neale ( 1830-95) and Isaline Gregory Davidson ( 1836-1913) who were married in Rotherham,Yorkshire in 1853. Isaline being the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Davidson, born Derbyshire.

Their Neale surname sometimes appeas as Neal.  And amzingly, Selina had a sister Olive who didn't pass away until 1968. She got married in 1897 and lived until she was 96. To have two generations spanning c.1830-ish to 1968 seems quite remarkable.
