might be a case a few phone calls next Monday, Tuesday and Friday and hope I can persuade someone to let a room go. last minute they will maybe let a one nighter go. Will also need to get the cat sorted but that won't be diccifult. But certainly looking doubtful at the moment, Such is life. . .

Well, it always was a distant possibility but it ain't gonna happen. Basically due to not being able to find accommodation at the right price. A couple of places were willing to take last minute 'one night' bookings but not a price I was willing to go to...... The prices they wanted plus the petrol pushed the available funds a bit over the top. But not to worry I already have several dates in mind for next year yet to be discussed with the owners but I don't think there will be a problem there. Just need a new laptop to give better assurance of regular reports of dubious quality to to bore you all withWink

I looked at the prices Dave, an awful lot of money, and as you say fuel on top pushes it up a little too far. Next year then Smile

Well it is a good job I didn't go over to Ambleside!!! My friends have just text me to say they have arrived safely earlier on . . . . in Windermere ! ! ! ! Now that came as a bit of a surprise. So they are getting one of the boats from Bowness tomorrow up to Ambleside so that they can have a few beers . . . much more sensible than driving
