Steve and Karen finally txt me late this afternoon from the Golden Rule and really like the calendar I left for them. Slight difference from the cottage one in that the one I did for them has a picture of the Rule on the cover. Steve showed it to John the landlaord and it seems he is very impressed so just printed another set off to post off to him when I get it bound. So with any luck I might have my calendar on public show in Ambleside, albeit in the bar of the Golden Rule ...

Just heard from my friends in Telford and they say that my calendar has pride of place in their kitchen!!! How nice. Not heard from John at the Golden Rule about his but he's a miserable git at the best of times!!

Roll on May 3rdSmile

Well I have always said he is a miserable git. Try to chat him up a bit in May. Maybe tell him he won't get a calendar next year unless he supports us.

Can't have been John we met in the Rule behind the bar then, he was a happy jovial chap, very chatty.

Glad that your friends in Telford are very happy with their calendar Dave. I made a lovely one a few years ago of the Yorkshire Dales for our eldest sons future in laws in Germany. When we went over there I looked for it and and found it dumped under a pile of paperwork on a bookshelf. They've not had anything since.

That would have been the other John, he is more of an undermanager and a very pleasant chap it has to be said
