I was watching Countryfile this morning, as I always do, and they interviewed a guy who started this station. All the recordings were done in his garden. They played some of the sounds and it was realy good. They only gave the name of the station, "Birdsong Radio" and no other info. So maybe a google would find it.

The played a little bit, with subtittles giving the names of the birds. You wont get subtittles on the radio obviousely. Just thaught that you bird lovers may be interested.

Hi Peter. Will check it out later, thanks for posting about it. I often listen to the small sound clips on the rspb website, which is a great resource by the way  http://www.rspb.org.uk/

I always watch Countryfile - except for this morning as I had to go out.  How typical is that - I missed it.

I googled Birdson Radio and found out that there is an internet campaign to keep the station on the air.  There is also an internet version which can be found at www.birdsongradio.com

I have it playing now and it is very relaxing however it is driving my cats crazy!

Thanks for that Karen. Hope the other POE members enjoy it. Are your cats tearing round looking for the birds?

Very typical Jo. But thanks to Karen, you can find the bird songs.
