Oh boy, the 60s. I went to Wales to deliver the Christmas presies. I stayed  with my Grandmother in her mountain cottage. I only went fo 3 days and had to stop for nearly 3 weeks. The day I was supposed to go home I couldnt get out the door. It snowed heavy overnight and the snow was up to the roof. 15 ft drifts in the town. As the door opened outwards we couldnt even open it to dig our way out. Mam was so worried because I hadnt phoned her to let her know what had happened. My Nan didnt have a phone. By the time we were dug out, we were nearly down to eating our boots.

I used to work in the library in the 80's - in those days we had current postcards around here - now they are still selling the stock we had then!!!
