Yes Peter, My Dad worked on the farm and I would ride on the back of the horse all day when I was not at school, my legs were not long enough to go down at the side therefore they just went out like wings, no helmets etc. To think of the miles these farm men walked in a day also we had to walk three miles to School.  Happy Day's

My great grandad had a little farm, and I can remember a big Clydesdale that I used to sit on . The fireplace surround was covered in horse brasses, and I recall bulls horns on the cottage door. Oh so sad that we have come so far yet lost so much.........

Loads of brass bits hanging here. It was an old cottage, converted to a cafe in Cornwall.

That is something I miss, the old fashioned English pub , most oubs in Oz are just drinking houses with no atmosphere, but some are slowly changing especialy in the country areas.Undecided
