Probably need to nip round to Chris and Sarah and break their fingers so they can't sign anything. Anybody else got any suggestions? |

That would stop them. How many contributers are there on POE? Add to that Chris and Sarah's payment for all the time and effort setting it up, £10,000,000? I dont think they can afford it. Sorry POE, you will have to keep on running the site. |

I think Google would see Pictures Of England.com as an amazing opportunity for advertising alone (130,000 plus pages packed with information!). I know Chris and Sarah haven't even touched the tip of the iceberg yet with what they want to do with the website simply through lack of time and money. Therefore, a cash injection from a major player would likely put POE up with the big boys for the benefit of all of us. So have you been to www.GooglePoe.com today? |

But do we want a company to take over POE that would change it from the site that we all love to something too commercial? I am not a buisenes man by any means. Chris and Sarah can do whatever they think is best for them, but I would worry about the larger company swallowing them up and wrecking a fantastic family site. Here endeth the lesson in non comercial thinking by a non comercial nut. |
