I've been birdwatching since i was 6 years old and i'm self taught and theres nothing better than going for a walk on your own an watching birds, you never stop learning, theres always something you dont recognise and the thrill is going home and checking your books in the hope thats its something rare (its happened to me twice) and it was amazing. |

I started watching Life of Birds while in at my friends house in Wales in May. I need to put it on my Christmas list (which means I will buy it myself eventually). Today we had a Raven up in our Cottonwood Tree, it was huge, shiny black and making some very interesting noises. |

Mick - I love to see the birds in my garden and I have a variery of species as we live next to the nature reserve and I am a member of the RSPB so we go to the reserves sometimes. It's no good being a bird watcher with three noisy young boys in tow! |

My dad was fascinated once when he saw a woodcock trying to impress a mate. That bird flew straight up about 100 feet in the air and circled a couple times and then swooped down to his mate. He still talks of that after several years. |

Living in a town house with a small back garden, I dont see many, but enjoy taking thier photos when I am out. I dont know what they are, to me they are birds, but they are fasinating creatures. |
