A typical cockney slang sentence might read:

Isn't it time you went up the apples and pears, washed your mince pies, put on a dicky dirt and then got on the dog and bone to your skin and blister?

Translated: Isn't it time you went upstairs, washed your eyes, put on a shirt and then got on the telephone to your sister?
