It is a long rectangular shaped plastic bin with four holes on each side, two higher than the others. Around that cylinder is a grate with springs on the top. When a squirrel climbs onto the grate to get at the seeds, his weight pulls down the grate and the holes are covered over by plastic squares strategically placed on the grate and the squirrells cannot get at the feed. I threw the box away, but i will try to find out the name of it. I was quite amazed to find that it really worked because, as I said, I really did not think such a feeder existed. |

Then one of them jumped on the bird table to hold it while the one on the tree got his nuts and seeds. Then, they changed places and the other stood there holding it steady while the other one then got his share as well. |

However, my favorite hobby is...SAILING! In the spring, summer, and fall (when I'm not working) I go sailing. In the winter...I dream about sailing in the spring, summer, and fall. My boat: 30' Nonsuch Classic named Lazybones. I sail out of East Greenwich Yacht Club in Rhode Island, US. Cheers, Bob Edited by: Bob T at:9th January 2009 15:07 |
