This is because we're so excited because finally after 5 years in Australia, we are moving back to the UK. The only irritation is people saying they think we're mad. Honestly, take it from us, it's not till you leave a place that you realise how good it really is. My husband hasn't been back to the UK in 30 years so I'm a bit nervous for him but I'm sure he'll love it. Despite all the gloom and doom news (somethings never change), I can't wait to get home. I'm not sure where home is going to be yet. I did a search on the best places to live and found this web site which is perfect because tonight, I can show my husband all the lovely photos of England. I honestly don't know how to contain myself now I know we're moving back at last. I am so happy.

Last night I sat with my husband and showed him photos of the various counties. He was very impressed! He is an amateur photographer himself and could see how he is going to have an extensive hobby when we arrive back. We don't know where to head for yet. I feel a bit concerned for my husband because the last time he was in the UK was 30 years ago. I had thought we might return to where I left 5 years ago to catch up with old friends and places but whereas I would slot straight back into my old comfort zone, it might make him feel left out or uncomfortable. I'm therefore thinking we should perhaps head for a brand new start together in a new part of the UK where we make new friends as a couple. He's already making big sacrifices for me so the least i can do is think about how to make moving back home as easy as possible for him. This web site has been great. At the moment, Bourton on the Water in Gloucs, is looking like a hot favourite. |

Fantastic area for the photographer whether you are a professional or an amatuer. I have to say that employment here in the UK is much like elsewhere - suffering, with about 2 million unemployed right now. |
