Bourton on the Water - what a fabulous choice Nadine, although I would guess not too much in the way of employment if you need it. Fantastic area for the photographer whether you are a professional or an amatuer. I have to say that employment here in the UK is much like elsewhere - suffering, with about 2 million unemployed right now.

We have been researching the economy. This is what we've found. The UK press are not telling the entire story accurately but then that wouldn;'t sell newspapers. In February last year, the UK had 29 million people in employment, the highest on record. If 3 million do become unemployed, it brings it down to 26 million employed.

10 million people currently claim some kind of benefit be it pension, family allowance, student grant, carer, invalidity, whatever, they are entitled to it. But out of this 10 million, 1.7 million were already long term unemployed. Add this to the current figure losing their jobs and while it's uncomfortable, the fact seems to be that almost 2 million were already unemployed before the financial crunch.  The press don;t mention this. I found these figures through a contact that works in government.
