For comparative purposes, the levels of snow Surrey and Hampshire had in one day equalled or began to approach, 9 of the 10 record snowfalls Colorado Springs has had in one day since 1948. Of course, up in the mountains, it's another story altogether which proably explains why Colorado is noted for its ski resorts while Hampshire and Surrey aren't. I'd never had a school day cancelled because of snow or feeezing temperatures going down to say, minus 30 to 40F. I guess this will be blamed on global warming as to why we have had the coldest winter in 13 years and the most snow in 18. I'm just glad we're not suffering from global cooling ! |

A real beauty, i'm loving it lol. |

Ciao Mari, If you had to load and unload a lorry in the freezing cold and snow, and pack up again late at night and face a perilous drive, you might not love it so much! sitting in your armchair, enjoying coffee and a sandwich is infinitely more civilised. |

I am romantic and do appreciate the beauty of these scenes lol. but I have to be realistic, working in it is no fun. It like getting blood out of a stone. donors are cold! lol |
