I would love to go to Lyme Regis and wearing a long russet cape, walk out to the end of the Cob and stand in the clean, salty wind in from Ireland and rain...the bleakness. Though one of England's finest writers will not come down from his hill.

My good friend and I went to Lyme Regis and walked the Cob just like in Jane Austen's 'Persuasion'. We had watched the Amanda Root versions many times, and couldn't resist going there. We didn't dress up though.
