Hi Krissy.  I am so sorry to hear that you lost Ollie.  It's so horrible when we lose our pets isn't it.  Do you think you will get another cat?  After Jassie died, we said 'never again' but we went to a local rescue centre and found Callie.  She is a completely different character to Jasper and a great companion to our other two cats.

I have never visited the East coast but my husband went there many years ago.  New York is on my list for future vacations in the States!  Have you ever been to the U.K.?

Great to meet you xx

Hi  Marianne, welcome :)

As for the US photos you could sign up with some photo sharing service like PhotobucketFlickr or JAlbum , upload all of your photos there and then put the links in our Pictures of USA thread as Sue and Ruth did.

Welcome Marianne, and I know you will enjoy.  I had a thought that one of us could possibly start our Pictures of US on this side and then we could all enjoy.  I lived in Cornwall for almost 2 years, and would have stayed there forever if possible.  I currently live in Virginia Beach, VA for the time being.  I would certainly help support a Pictures of US, but I am no where near talented to start one! Anyone else interested?

Take care and welcome once again, Donna

Hi Marianne:  You've visited more places over here than most Americans have seen.  Good for you!  There's still a lot of N. America that I'd like to see, but I'm sort of spoiled now for the British Isles, and I feel the same way about them, I wish I could visit every place there.  I'd prefer to do more foreign travel whilst (lol) we're still spry enough to carry our own suitcases, and I figure that once we're old, we can tool around the states in a camper or something.  lol  We've only been to England once, most of our time was in North Yorkshire.  We ended up there after surfing around POE for a year or two prior to the trip.  Ireland is fabulous, too.  I look forward to more of your pics - from both sides of the pond.

Hi all.

Yes, I would love to put some of our America photos on here-just in the forums.  Is it possible to do this? Hi Donna-it would be great to start a 'pictures of USA site but like you, I don't have the technical know-how to do this!  Maybe there's some talented tech people who could give us some ideas?

Hi Ruth.  I love the phrase you used 'whilst we are still spry enough to carry our own suitcases' LOL That's just how we feel-keep travelling for as long as we can do it unaided!  I feel about the USA what you feel for England!  We just don't want to take our vacations anywhere else!  When we come over, we tend to go for places like the National Parks because we like to get close to the wildlife and phenomenal scenery that you have!  We aren't brave enough to hire an RV so we hire a car and stay in motels.  Every holiday we have had has been fantastic.  I agree with you that Yorkshire is really lovely.  I have relatives there and we have been up to see them.

Have a great day-I am really enjoying exchanging views with everyone-literally as well as figuratively! xx
