sorry! I'm not talking gardening lol. I'm refering to the articles apearing in international and national newspapers  and newsrooms running stories of British Members of Parliment (termed lawmakers in the States)  claiming allowancies for petty items such as chocolate bars and the like. I think that records of all monies taken from the public purse should be available for any interested taxpayers to scrutinise. The latest 'leak' by the Daily Telegraph newspaper is obviuosly mischief-making prior to European elections next month.

ALL parties have members that are guilty of over claiming on their expenses and hopfully these are about to be addressed.

However, before the press get on their high horse, ask themselves this, show me an editor, journalist, reporter or news presenter that hasnt 'fiddled' their expense claims. Ok, they are not taking it from the public purse but no doubt they will claim it back on their tax returns, a rose by any other name is still a rose lolWink
