Excellent ideas all, and it warms the heart to see the willing spirit behind it all. As Ron says, getting from the ideas stage to actually implementing those ideas is the challenge.

I am no marketing person but I am willing to do what I can if we can come up with an actually plan.  I am excited about the auction idea and can't wait to see how that unfolds!

I've been thinking that while all of these ideas are great and hopefully some of them will fly; there is still an immediate and urgent need at POE for revenue.

I've been racking my own brain trying to come up with an idea and the following ideas came to mind:

1. Here in the states a family of four could easily spend 150.00 on an evening out to dinner and the movies. That would be approximately £100.00 pounds in today's market.  Why not give up just one outing and send the £100.00 to POE instead?  The family would benefit by one evening spent at home together playing board games and ordering pizza.

2. Think of something that you enjoy on a regular basis and figure out how much you spend on that luxury weekly, i.e. if you go out for a Starbucks coffee twice a day, give up one of those coffees per day and send the equivalent in savings to POE.

A number of years ago the crew I worked with and I figured that we spent an average of $780.00 dollars each, per year on our morning cup of coffee and a bagel. We were dumb founded. After that we all pitched in and purchased a coffee maker, coffee, a toaster, and brought bagels in from the grocery each week. It saved us almost $500.00 dollars each per year!

Think of that...$500 would equal aproximately £350.00 in todays market! Imagine what POE could do with that!

3. If you pay $10.00 a day for lunch during the week, think of brown-bagging it for a couple of months instead and send the savings to POE.

I realize that some here are in dire finanical straights and are struggling just to keep their heads above water. This is not intended to make those of us who, despite our desire to give, feel bad about not being able to give; rather it's for those who like me are just trying to figure out a way to come up with some much needed support.

Hey I was just wandering if you could get these hotels and car rental companies to advertise on the site and pay you for it ( i know you get pd for booking thru your site)? Maybe you already do this but with all the traffic you have on here it would worth a companies wild to advertise with you and even car rental co'S. I have not seen any on here?> Just a idea i dont have a clue about running a forum or site,,,;-))
