We are members of both. English Heritage is cheaper but there isn't as many properties near us to visit. Saying that we get our money's worth - we go to Witley Court and Kenilworth alot and on holiday we always check out the one's local to where we are staying. I think English Heritage are more child friendly and have better re-enactment days!

I still love being a member of National Trust though - and you can park free on their car parks too! There are more National Trust properties to visit and great gardens
