Thanks, gals.  Yes, very excited.  We'll be traveling in the same area as you, Debbie - the southwest this time.  I can't wait!

I have some good news.  My hubby and I are taking a vacation after all - to our favorite places - England and Ireland!  In August - can't wait!  Two weekends ago I was scouting out possible trips for next spring, and I about fell off my chair when I saw that airfare is cheaper now that it will be next spring, or in November for that matter.   I also found some good deals on accommodations and so we're going!  My DH kind of himmed and hawed about it at first, but he really loved it over there too, and the selling point was "Wouldn't you like to get out of Dodge for 17 days in the month of August?"  He works outside in 105°+ weather all summer so the thought of spending time in cool countries with beaches was a no brainer. I never thought we'd ever be able to afford to go over there in the summer, so I'm thrilled!
If its the South West you are visiting and its beaches you want Ruth then Newquay/Perinporth have a popular beach, popular with the young and surfing. Lifegaurd services too. lots of beaches and coves in that area.Using the simularity that the main island of Britain resembles a man, sat with his legs outstretched, Newquay is on his 'shin', just below the knee. We are having a heat wave here at the moment (29 degrees C), but it will probly be about 22 degrees C down there in August. Watch out for that Debbie though, staggering out of the bars late at night, lol.

BEST EVER BLONDE JOKE

A blonde calls her boyfriend and says 'Please come over here and help Me. I have a killer jigsaw puzzle, and I can't  figure out how to get
Started .'

Her boyfriend  asks, 'What is it supposed to be when it's finished?'

The blonde says, 'According to the picture on the box,  it's a rooster.'

Her boyfriend decides to go over and  help with the puzzle.

She lets him in and shows him  where she has the puzzle spread all over
The table.

He studies the pieces for a moment, then looks at the  box, then turns to
Her and says,

'First of all, no  matter what we do , we're not going to be able to
Assemble  these pieces into anything resembling a rooster.'

He  takes her hand and says, 'Second, I want you to relax. Let's  have a
Nice cup of tea, and then ...' he said with a deep  sigh, . .. . .. . .
