I go on a lot about how good it is to be part of this wonderful Isle, its seasonal landscapes, its history, its unrivaled welfare state, its fairness of mind. I am English and I'm proud of my British ancestors who have toiled and gave blood to make us what we are today.  I welcome foriegn 'friends'  with open arms, I will share my table and bid them a 'fond' and safe farewell as they return to their homelands.

We offer aid to 'lesser' undeveloped countries, wether rich in mineral wealth, or the non-wealthy, by offering them  training and education. All we ask is for them to respect our assisstance and improve the way of life of their own nationals in their own countries.

There are those who view our 'friendship and politeness' as a weakness, and seek to take advantage of our hospitality. There are those who 'fill thier own bowls' before offering it to those who realy need it.

Our Isles are now overflowing with 'uninvited' visitors, all too willing to share our table whilst making little effort to aid or assist in its preperation. i say to these people, Take your bowl and share your gains and knowledge amongst those in your homelands who are less fortunate to have visited our beautiful shores

I think of the bodies of my two uncles, Will and Ernest, who both died on the Somme, one whose body still lies there feeding the soil.

What did they die for? Our freedom, which we are now giving away.

Well said, Michael. It's the same in the states. Some come, bring their families, take advantage of our welfare and educational systems, all the time they are actually plotting to attack us. Go figure.

Thanks you guys!

Sue, my grandfather lost a leg on the somme, he told a fib and said he was 18, not 17, when he volunteered. he lived til he was 58, working full time with one leg and shrapnel still lodged in his body until it eventualy killed him, true Brit or what?
