America, China etc. etc then it needs to have one leader chairing Europe, not before time too, in my opinion. He or she should have international statesmanship and recognition. No one has put their name forward yet but the press and others have started speculating. Ex British PM Tony Blair's name has been mentioned, he was a great friend to the American people and other international leaders. Though some thought he had blotted his copy book by backing the Iraq war he still was one of the best British Prime Ministers since WWII. However, members of his opposition Tory party (many of which got very rich during his term of office), are traveling Europe and America 'bad-mouthing' the guy to raise awareness agaist voting for him. Like him or loath him, his name is the only one with the credible CV for the job, If we are going to have a President of Europe (and we are), then all Brits (including rightwing Tories) should be supporting any British applicant, or would they rather another European leader telling them what they can or cant do. Get real, The post is, and stop spitting you dummies out! |

I also think in time, the EU will evolve into The United States of Europe, having gone through EEC, EC, EU so I'm expecting a change again at some point. |
