I think she is in a position where she just can't win. Don't take a helicopter/plane, too expensive. Rides a royally fitted train that cost millions. Can't drive up in her own vehicle, too dangerous.

I wouldn't want her life, no, I wouldn't.

The Queen does have a driving licence and,as a Princess, a friend of mine was her driving instructor.  But, the last time I saw her, she was riding in a very nice burgundy Rolls-Royce Phantom V with her Lady in Waiting next to her.

Sorry Ron, I'll re-phrase that.....The Queen was taught to drive by the sister of the well known English painter, Graham Sutherland. Later on, her husband produced the first UK TV commercial; for Gibbs toothpaste.

Indeed, her husband was one of the very first people ever to appear on a UK TV, as a young reporter for The Times, and was sent off to do a story on this new invention and got a demonstration of it too. Smile

Cathy, as Stephanie says it all started at the following thread with our Valerie asking for help. In those circumstances, I know a man to contact don't I? As I said, a mind of information, where are you Paul?
