Jason T Posts: 7421 Joined: 14th Apr 2004 Location: UK | quotePosted at 16:15 on 9th August 2010 I know there is already a favorite places in England thread ....but i was up near Ashbourne the other week i my campervan, and stayed at a little campsite in the woods .....it was lovely! its near a place called Snelston, which is about 3 miles south of Ashbourne, it felt like a proper hideaway! Another place i love to run away to is Ashby de la Zouch castle ....in the week when the kids are at school its deserted, you have the whole castle to yourself! i take my flask of coffee and lunch ...its a fantastic site!!
So anyone else have a 'secret' or special retreat? ( that your willing to share obviously!!) |
