I know there is already a favorite places in England thread ....but i was up near Ashbourne the other week i my campervan, and stayed at a little campsite in the woods .....it was lovely!  its near a place called Snelston, which is about 3 miles south of Ashbourne, it felt like a proper hideaway!

Another place i love to run away to is Ashby de la Zouch castle ....in the week when the kids are at school its deserted, you have the whole castle to yourself!  i take my flask of coffee and lunch ...its a fantastic site!!

So anyone else have a 'secret' or special retreat? ( that your willing to share obviously!!Laughing)

Mine is the bathroom.

No really....I love the Sourland Mountians. I really love it there. Very dense forest and very quiet.

Can I put a pic here of it??
