Not necessarily one of my best photos, but it reminds me of the fun we had walking around the village.  See the stile on the left side of the picture?  When I climbed over the stile and stepped down on the other side, my shoes became stuck in some black muck and I promptly walked right out of them before I realized they were stuck!  We are still laughing about that almost three years later.

This picture is made in the Arne RSPB Reserve (Dorset) last year. We spotted this deer in the ferns and with all that I learned on National Geografic in my mind, I approched him with the wind in his back. When he took notice of my he didn't run but came even closer and given me all the time I need for making this picture. Being so close to such an lovely animal in the wild made me feel happy the whole day.

Beautiful photo and lovely story Ted.  Have we mentioned the Arne Nature Reserve in the Dorset tour?  I can't remember, been to too many places since then.  If not would you be willing to add it to the Tour Ted?  Many thanks for sharing your lovely pic.

LOL, James.  I take it that means, "get lost."

Here are a few of my favorites from our two trips over there.

This one's from N. Yorkshire, nearly three years ago already.

This one's from last summer - we were with Paul Hilton when I took this one:

And I've got to throw in one from the Emerald Isle next door:

I agree with everyone else, it's much too hard to chose just one. Lol.

Here in New England the autumn season will soon be upon us and so I thought I'd chose one of my favorite autumn shots like this one by Roy Jackson.

Also, these two by Graham Rains are spectacular and have been favorites of mine since he first posted them.
