there was two worse than that ron.

I'd also heard that 1947 had an extremely long, hard winter. 

not as bad as mike and bernie--------i'll get mi coat.

i was only a toddler then cath but i remember myg/mother saying to me a few yrs later that it was a bad one the snow was 6ft deep in places and a lot of people were snowed in for days.
