Paul, if these dreams of yours are reliably predictive, you could make yourself a fortune.

There's a guy called James Randi in the States who for years has been offering $1,000,000 to anyone who can demonstrate psychic ability - but they have to do it under proper experimental conditions.

He's had many takers, but so far not one of them has managed to claim the prize.

Who says I haven't John, though most of them involved tradgedy, not predicting money making opportunities ( happened twice).  They would have been more useful in saving lives actually, but they're not specific enough, and there's nothing you could do about it anyway.

John, I too believe that much of what we call 'paranormal' today may well be considered normal with perfectly understandable explanations provided by science tomorrow.  Regardless, I don't think I would want to have been in Wolf's or Peter's shoes when they had their experiences, logical explanation or not! LOL!

to your second point John---as i mentioned earlier, not something i've found you can do consciously, so you can't make it happen in the way he mentions in your post, and Miss Blackmore appears to have been doing similar, and getting negative results. I'm not surprised.

I think I somewhat concur with Wolf on this one.  I believe there's a lot going on in the universe that is beyond the realm of what our 5 physical senses can convey to us.  Some people refer to it as gut feeling, which is usually very nonspecific, and scientifically unprovable.  And yes, there's a lot that just can't be proven by science.  Kind of like the light spectrum.  It's only a small portion that is visible.

Strictly speaking, science never proves anything, Ruth.

The reason it's such a powerful process is that it comes up with provisional theories that are then tested against reality - and if the theory fails to explain reality, the theory is adjusted or abandoned.

It's the best tool we have for understanding how this amazing universe operates.

As you've probably guessed, I'm quite enthusiastic about science!

I'm sorry that Mark Corby feels strongly enough to post his doubts about my Durham Castle/"Ghoooosty" picture TWICE!!    I know the photo is genuine ---it was taken about 6.30. p.m.on a  clear, frosty evening in February 2005 when I was on my way to a  concert in the Cathedral, and Palace Green, where the pic. was taken,  was unusually deserted.  When I viewed the thumbnail pictures from a disc on  my TV ( I didn't get my computer until nov 2007) I was quite surprised to see the "face" appear,  and I believe there  must be some technical reason for it---perhaps something to do with the lights--I don't know.

I was recently told of the Durham Death March in 1650---here's a link for those interested in  the full story----www.scotwars.com/battle of Dunbar 1650
