I have the tunes for my funeral picked out, as well as the epitaph on my headstone.

I want the 'Passing of the Elves' also known as 'The Elvish Lament'from The Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring as my casket is wheeled out.

On my headstone it is going to say 'What a shame Brian, now you'll never get your chance'

I think it s good to be prepared, less for the grieving left behind to work on.

Good choice, Toby.  I have that track on a soundtrack CD called "In Search of Angels."

I'll have to think about this one for a while.  I love the old staple, "On Eagle's Wings," but I like the way you guys think - something upbeat.  Funerals are for the sake of the grieving, not the deceased.

Love it! :-)

ROFLMAO!!! Really love it!

Well at this point I'd have to say the end piece to the movie, The Guardian. It's absolutely haunting: The Guardian Suite

I was thinking of Enya's version of How Can I Keep From Singing, but when I went to You Tube to look for it, I found this wonderful version by Eva Cassidy backed up by a gospel choir.  It's stunning!  It's a great song for the living and the dead.
