But it won't be a fun trip as I just found out that my dad is not expected to see the night through.

Watch out for me down the lanes and across the fields and by the rivers.

Sue

I am sure I speak for all poe members when I say, God speed your journey to see your dad. As said by 'Heavenly' and William - our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of sadness.

Take care dear friend.

Thank you for all your well wishes. Right now I am still in the U.S. My husband suggested I wait until the next day before I booked my flight, by then I was so sick with the flu I couldn't move, and my dad was still alive much to the shock of the Doctors. He is still hanging in there, but it is not good as he has pneumonia (he is 82 and a heavy smoker all his life). I would like to go over and be with him, but my husband is scheduled for surgery in less than two weeks and I need to be here or he has to cancel.

My deapest sympathy and wishes go out to you. I have lost both my parents, so I know what you will be going through. There are no words that can make it better, but I am sure that the power of so many thoughts from friends, even from a long distance, will have an effect.

Bless you.

Peter
