When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us."

Wow that's a nice quote yet quite sad. :(

Not much of a quote but this poem is lovely:

"God saw you were getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you
And whispered come with me.

With tear filled eyes we watched you
Suffer and fade away,
Although we loved you deeply
we couldn't make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands put to rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best."

I can't remember who wrote it though.

That's a lovely poem, and it's used quite often in the In Memoriam column of our local paper.

It's used quite often here also. We used it for my grandmas memorial also. That's were I got it from and it's just lovely. :)

There but for the grace of God go I.

Mom brought me up with quotes! She loves them.

I seem to use this one every day and it helps me count my blessings when I feel like moaning! There is always someone worse off!
