I've been regular on a movie/tv shows forum for quite some time now. Now you've made me think of when we organized a 1-day meeting for the members four years ago. Being the most of us from the north of the country, we picked up a nice tourist area which could be close enough for us to drive home and as attractive as well to the others to wish staying for the weekend.

It was a memorable time and on that day I met a few of my current best friends.

I've just thought of someone else I'd like to spend and entire evening with.  Everyone one of you on POE.  What a great night that would be!  Although, we might have to extend it to a week of nights just because we'd surely spend half of it picking our selves up off the floor laughing! Laughing

That was sweet of you, as Sue H said, and personally, I'd recommend a PoE Weekend at Fawlty Towers; I'm sure Basil would be delighted to have us, and Sybil could keep an eye on Ron Smile while our overseas friends find their way down the back street called the M5, and as long as no one orders a Screwdriver or Waldorf salad, as Basil is usually fresh out of Waldorfs.

LOL @ Paul!  The name of the inkeeper where I stayed in York was Basil.  When he introduced himself it was all I could do not to laugh. I immediately thought of Basil Fawlty!  Isn't that a great show?  A classic!  The POE members would certainly give Basil a run for his money! LOL!Laughing

A meeting of the POE members sounds a great idea. But we would have to keep the lights down low. We dont want to be blinded by the reflactions off of Rons dome would we? He he he.

You know you'd have to plan the POE get-together around one of my trips don't you?

Interesting fact is that two women living in America are the ones who have actually met POE members. You'd think it would be those of you closer to home.

By the way, that would be me and Diana.

Even though I have never watched Fawlty Towers, I've heard enough about it to think your post is right on, Paul.

Paul, I would also hope that the Health Dept. inspector doesn't come around whilst (I love that word) you're there!!  LOL!  As Diana said, it's a classic.  Sue, you have to see it.  I think you can order the DVD's from Amazon or PBS.  It's worth every penny - it's absolutly hysterical.

No worries, Ruth, and I promise not to mention the war---the Revolutionary one---let byegones by byegones,eh? Though tomorrow night you'll just have to remind us yet again, with all your fireworks!  But we did send over that nice Liberty Bell made in Whitechapel with only one minor fault---it didn't ring---but it's the thought that counts.
