Krissy, I got a nasty surprise when I went out today.  While I was looking for postcards I found that although there is no shortage of cards with views of Durham (mainly the Cathedral and Castle) there are none of Spennymoor to be seen anywhere.

I'll post some cards off to you tomorrow, just the same.  I got three Durham cards today, and only just remembered that my paper, Spennynews, ran a competition a few months ago, with a prize donated by a local business, and some of the entrants wrote their answer on picture postcards!

I know where those cards are (I have them still in my keeping) and I don't suppose anyone would mind if I sent tham to your son for his collection.  There are two with views of Bishop Auckland, another two Durham cards, and two with Middlesbrough scenes on them (how they got in goodness only knows).  I'll include those 6 in the envelope, provided your son doesn't object to the fact thet they have already been written on.  Let me know how he feels about that, will you.

Yes, Mrs. T, don't you just wish that big hair would come back into style?

Y'all ought ta wear turbans like what me an mama Neal wears. Y'all can go pert near a whole year not washin' yer hair that ways (course, ya has ta fight back tha critters what likes ta nest under thar, but a can of Raid ought ta do tha trick).

Hi Krissy - just back from holiday. Wish I'd sent you one from Cornwall! I will see if I can find one - not sure they have them round here - might find one of Dudley Castle!
