Andy, LOL!  Humpty Dumpty!  I bet Denzil knows.  He' slightly more clever than you, I'm afraid.  Wink

Lyn, Shine On You Crazy Diamond was from one of their early records, Wish You Were Here (another great song, BTW).  It was a tribute song to their original member Syd Barrett who had to leave the band due to mental illness.

The link is just the lyrics.  The song's on You Tube, but mostly from concerts in later years.  And it's a long song.

I'm on my seventh copy of Wish you were here. Lord knows how many Dark side of the moon records I've had...or Medal come to that. Pink Floyd? Brilliant!

Yes, I agree, Andy.  And their earlier records are their best.  Animals is great too.  I saw a documentary over here on the making of DSOM.  It was fascinating.  David Gilmour remarked that one of his disappointments is that he never had to opportunity to just simply put on headphones and just listen to that record, in the same way fans did.

All that history gone in the press of of a single button! I bet that Sue H is to blame.....never mind I shall pose yet another question, or two. Who sang 'Lipstick On Your Collar'? and then there was 'That Wonderful Picture of You'. Ah, those were the days! Speedway at Cowley Stadium...Arnie Pander, what a star!!
