I honestly think that David Gilmour is the very best guitarist ever. Here's two of my all time favourites from Floyd.....comfortably numb and great gig in the sky. The wall is a fantastic album too in my opinion.

Yes, Andy, the Wall is great!!  But I think I'd give a slight edge to Brian May for best guitarist.

He's high on my list. Third in fact after Richie Blackmore and of course David Gilmour. Hendrix wasn't bad either!!

I'm the worlds biggest Led Zep fan (saw them at Knebworth 1979, not long before John Henry Bonham died) and much as I love their music, Jimmy is only top ten.

Eddie Van Halen blew it for me by being too commercial. 'Beat it' by Michael Jackson wasn't a good choice IMHO.

And here I thought your trip to Yorkshire was your first trip out of Cornwall!  lol You do make some very good points about Van Halen, Denzil.  But he's quite a skilled guitarist nevertheless.

Very posh indeed!  You sure it's not from hanging around in Yorkshire and all?

That must be why I fell for him, Andy, the poshness and the scrumpy and all.
