L Posts: 5656 Joined: 10th Jun 2004 Location: UK | quotePosted at 21:30 on 23rd September 2008 I've just been looking in the Picture Tours of Bygone Era, we have a lot of very old photos from days gone by, many in the 19th and early 20th century of places and people that I have no idea where or who they are...but they are still carefully packed away in boxes to be taken out every now and then and looked at and wonder 'who are they?'. It's sad to realise that many of the people in them are probably members of my own family who I never knew. I was wondering, if they could see their photos on the internet what would their reactions be? This wouldn't be possible, for all the world to see them, not that many years ago, if it wasn't for the wonderful technology we have today. This is me being nostalgic, I love this kind of history, I love the old black/white and sepia photos...makes me realise.... if it wasn't for some of those people in the photo's then I probably wouldn't be sitting here typing this on my computer. |

Sadley my Nan and grandad, who's photo's they belong too have passed away, and I cant get any answers. Which is a shame because there part of my history. |
