If you had your time again, what would you do differently?

A new thread, ''If you had your time again, what would you do differently?''

I work as a health care assistant and during today’s shift I got chatting to a group of residents about what thing’s, if any they would change in their lives if they could go back and do it all again, almost all of them said they would change something or do things totally different, I just wondered what everyone would change or do differently if they could go back, knowing what they now

Be great to see what people think...

I think mine would be, to take every opportunity that life throws at me, and not to worry about the outcome if it feels right at the time.

I think I am to comfortable in my job, things could change tomorrow, I have ambitions to move forward in my career but change is a big thing:) good or bad!

Good thread!

I would have stayed in college!! I really regret that!!  Everything else I would not change.  Through all the good and the bad, it's brought me to where I am today and I am very happy and very proud of me and my girls.

Nice to meet you Emma!! Laughing

I would have paid attention at school and got a good education.

The only other things I would change were things that were out of my control, so I guess they don't count.

What a good thread Emma, very thought provoking,  I would do many things differently, how long have you got lol I wouldn’t’t of been in such a hurry for a start, I would have had more fun and worried less about things that never did actually happen, I realised a few years ago that it isn’t the thing’s you worry about that rock your world but the things that never even crossed your mind, a random phone call on a Monday evening with news that you instantly know will change your life forever.

I would be less critical of myself and be more positive, oh I could go on and on, that’s not to say that I’m not happy with my lot, it’s just easier to look back in hindsight, it’s been great and awful, tragic and happy, it’s been life and for better or worse has moulded me into the person that I am today.

You've reminded me of something Lyn. When I was young I always considered I was ugly, and really wasted allot of time worrying about it. Now of course I know that physical beauty is not an issue, so yes I would certainly change that.

Oh and I had a crush on an older man called Telly Savalas   , that was an odd one.

Sue, you are so lovely in your avatars that I have a hard time believing you ever felt that way.  It just goes to show that truth and the way we perceive truth are often very different. I am sorry that you struggled with that image as a young one.  It's very hard on girls when they believe themselves inferior physically.  The media place so much emphasis on our looks, that we often buy into that image and value ourselves accordingly.Yell

I would have been braver.

Not become a teacher.

Took the chances music gave me and played, travelled, ignored the people telling me to play it safe.

i would have spent more time with my mother before she died.  i would have loved to have continued my education as well.

however, some things we can never change, but we CAN always look forward......tomorrow is always a new day.
