The good Doctor was impressed at my healing, plenty of bruising but less swelling that he had expected. Incision looked good and I'm not rolling around in pain. No x-rays until next week thank goodness. That will be the telling moment, to see if the bone has shifted or not. He informs me that the screws will pick up the cold weather and I will feel them in there, which I thought was very interesting. |

Sue Terry knows how you feel - he has screws in his ankle - he said don't worry you get used to it and the cold isn't too bad although his does ache every so often! Hope it carries on improving. Everyone - love to you all with all your ailments and problems. I have had my problems in the past but recovered from most of them. I have an underactive thyroid. I had a brain virus in my 20's which has affected my memory and you know how accident prone we all are in our family! But I'm OK - just a little anxious! |

I guess the proper word I should have used is that the screws conduct the cold. My husband asked if they would also pick up the heat, he said yes, but not like the hot weather. he said if I had an ultrasound then the screws would get hot. I'd never thought about any of that stuff before. Oh he also said I won't be setting off any alarms at the airport. HA! |

I never was a one to voice my problems and never searched for sympathy. I have only ever visited a doctor maybe half a dozen times in my intire life and don't very often get sick, I'm very lucky I guess. I have been experiencing a few old age sort of problems lately but I assure you , I am not ready to throw the towel in just yet. For those that are sick or just in need of a kind word, I send my love and best wishes to you and pray for your speedy recovery and inner peace. |
