We have submitted a picture of another footpath for you to walk along, this is just to give you a but more incentive, if you needed it, to get back on your feet. Joking apart we really hope that you are soon up and around again. Regards Roy J. |

I chose a picture of a footpath with a bench close by just so you could sit and relax for a while. I will put a comment re the Hooded Merganser on the Birds thread. I'm trying to have a bit of thread discipline. Regards Roy J |

Unfortunately that bench is several miles inland so no wave sounds there. However, depending on the time of the year, you will hear the Jays arguing in the tree tops, the Woodpecker hammering for insects, the Robin-English not American-letting rip with that unmistakable melody of his. Then when the warblers return, their song is heard from the nearby reed beds. At the moment the main sound is of the wind moaning in the trees as it tries it best to remove the last of the colourful autumn leaves. The Blackbird resident all year round is mainly silent now, apart from giving an alarm call when he sees the Sparrow hawk in the area. Sitting there and trying to be quiet, being well away from the traffic's noise, and listening to the sounds of nature going about its business, you realise just how much of this worlds wonders that you are missing.
