When I went to mail "roses" Christmas package today at the UPS station near us, I was told because she had an "Post office box" number...instead of an street address...that it had to be sent through the regular post office service for her to pick up and it cost me about $30 more just for that..I did not know this before now, but it's getting time for stuff like this, so I thought I'd better mention it to you people. I know they say that Post Office boxes make for better security factors in ways with strangers, but I guess strangers being decent peope needs to come back in style again. It only saddens me when I think that I could of sent her an check for $30 more and  and let her buy her own gift...perhaps an better one yet.  But at least this  is on it's way now. Merry Christmas.

Doesn't make any difference here in the UK if you send to a PO box here, it costs just the same as if you send it to a house.

Oh Shirley! That is awful! I had no idea they charged more for a P.O. Box.

It sounds like you have gone ahead and sent it, I would have not sent it and gone a different route.

If I would of known how close she was to St. Pertersburg, Florida, I know some people there, they might of been able to take it to her if I'd sent it to their addy. As long as it gets there I guess is the thing. I learn some of these things after the fact it seems instead of prior. Yours truly..GWBush.. just laid off 40,000 postal employees..to help the economy, naturally..his style.
