I love the traditional tunes, well traditional for me means the ones I grew up with. I love Oh Little Town of Bethlehem, Once in Royal David's City, I Saw Three Ships, We Three Kings, Hark The Herald Angels, Oh Come All Ye Faithful, Oh I could go on. I also like Oh Holy Night, The Coventry Carol, Oh Come, Oh Come Emanuel. And one of my all time favourtie is the Carol of the Birds which I fear many have never heard. I Love Christmas Carols! |

I used to love seeing the children in the Nativity - they haven't had it for a few years for the older ones now but Solomon might do something this year in nursery. I love it when they try to remember the words to Away in a Manger. |

Tijauna Brass...has some jazzy tunes that have helped me to play music myself. Then there's the Manhiem Steam Roller group..or somethign like that..( I see Celtic Chrimas tunes ar eout this year)...my kids have an big TV at the foot of their bed from when they had their own house and so it was I got them an DVD of snowfalling in the woods and turn on the tape deck with Christmas music and put an little decorated and lighted tree next ot the bed, shut off the bedroom lights except for the Tv and tree.....now if you do this I suggest the coziest, warmest bedding and the fluffiest and softest pillows in pretty vibrant Christmas Plaids and Satin reds to go with it all. Don't forget the wine, two glasses, and the chocolates "either" Use to be you could get these tapes at "Bed and Borders" and they have one that is an cracklin fireplace if you don't like the woodland snow bit. Yes, I like Christmas! |
