Thank you Sue H. I know you are trying your hardest to keep all happy. There is just no pleasing everybody all the time. It seems to me that you are being misunderstood. If people would just calm down and look at what you said without any angry feelings then I think you would be understood and this would not have happened. |

Yes life's too short, and I have a life outside of POE, and i don't intend spending it trawling through a load of nonsense postings, which is what is happening once again... well thats all from me, i'm outta here now.

I was convinced that my pc was playing up and I was reading old threads. I hit the 'refresh' button several times, and each time returned to this page. I have to conclude that these posts are current. Is my pc playing up? Are there gremlins online? am I going mad?? Anyway, I would like to wish all members, past, present, and future, a Merry and peaceful Christmas; that Santa brings you what your heart desres; and that you eat, drink, and be merry. I am just going to hang a wreath on the door and eat a mince pie, or is it the other way round? Cheers. |

Posts: Joined: 1st Jan 1970 | editPosted at 08:27 on 11th December 2008 Lyn, Wolf, I don’t want you to go either although I can understand your reasons for not wanting to stay, Lyn, you have been with poe from the beginning and I for one will miss your witty and down to earth posts. Wolf, I haven’t been posting myself lately for the same reasons you and Lyn are leaving but I still pop on daily to read your posts, without them things will never be the same again on the forum. I will miss you both so much but hope you both continue to e mail me and keep in touch. |

The rules of the forum have been clearly laid out and a reminder posted by Chris and Sarah just recently. That said, the forum is for you people, the members, to be abe to write what some may be unable to say! You even have a private 'Contact Form' provided by POE. However, from time to time there are bound to be opinions as to whether or not a post is appropriate for the thread, but so what? No matter which way Moderator Sue H, Chris and/or Sarah turn it will be wrong for somebody, so to some extent the freedom that you have in the forum should permit the subject to blow itself out! Isn't is called freedom of speech? In a nutshell, there is no need for any bad feeling because the simple answer to any thread that you don't like, is to stay out of that particular thread! I feel sure that over time both Wolf and Lyn G will return to the flock because they have so loved, and been part of a forum so loved by the members that they will actually notice that they have lost something special. I think we shall all look forward to the day you are both able to join in again and say perhaps, ah well that was then and look forward to the welcome again that you know you will get! I would like also to take this opportunity to re-iterate my support for Sue H who does a really good job for POE, despite sometimes being seen as the party pooper. No way Sue H, we love you mate and thank you! Happy Christmas to all. |

Although I haven't joined in a great deal on the forum, I suspect that there are many people, like me, who follow the forum on a daily basis and have been thoroughly entertained this year by the serious, informative, and, above all, witty banter. A dull day has been made much brighter by by Denzil (how's Dobbin by the way?) and Miya and Mrs T. and I, for one, miss their postings. Paul Hilton has shared his vast knowledge about many things with us and Maria Grazia's computer expertise is invaluable. Lynn G. and Wolf's frankness is refreshing, and the forum was all the better for their input. |

Posts: Joined: 1st Jan 1970 | editPosted at 12:10 on 11th December 2008 I am with Lorraine and her entire post. Ron, I still have an email from someone who said they completely agreed with me about 'the rubbish entering threads' via certain members and found it unneccesary and very annoying. This person said you had to wonder why they continue doing it. Now we are being told if we don't like the rubbish to stay out of the threads. That would mean a very short visit to the forum. Why don't people mean what they say, and say what they mean? As Lyn stated not so long ago, this is a Forum and NOT a Chat room. What is so difficult to understand about that? And what is the point in having rules if they are going to be ignored. I wish some would show a bit of back-bone once in a while and I don't mean Sue H.
