Ron, I still have an email from someone who said they completely agreed with me about 'the rubbish entering threads' via certain members and found it unneccesary and very annoying. This person said you had to wonder why they continue doing it.

Now we are being told if we don't like the rubbish to stay out of the threads. That would mean a very short visit to the forum.  Why don't people mean what they say, and say what they mean?

As Lyn stated not so long ago, this is a Forum and NOT a Chat room. What is so difficult to understand about that? And what is the point in having rules if they are going to be ignored. I wish some would show a bit of back-bone once in a while and I don't mean Sue H.

Mind if I ask what some of you call "rubbish" ..or just what exactly it's suppose to be comprised of..as I thought in general this conversation was mainly opinions of others. But what is going on here is also going on in other web sites...as people find an site that accepts their style I guess to more or less say it nicely...I do imagine it's hard to to go to an food web site and talk about the winning run in yesterdays' sports game, but that's not rubbish, just some reason someone may be over joyed about an event that just happened, and Ron is correct, given time, it clears itself out most often. Does no one have the "patience" for something to work it's way out of conversation?  If your looking for the perfect person to talk to according to your terms..then in an world of 4 billlion people, you might be wating some time. do unto others as you would want done unto you.

Everyone has their reasons for what they choose to do here. For me, it has come down to time management and learning to adjust to what I have time to read and what I don't.  I think those who leave also know, as Ron says, that they'd be welcomed back with open arms.

You put it so well, Lorraine.  The rules have been posted and reiterated, let's hope that helps.

Shirley, why don't you go and have a look at Forums and Chat Rooms. It has long disappeared off the front page. I was actually quoting someone else when I said 'rubbish'.  I'm trying not to reply in kind to you. I don't need any sermons and I won't be saying another word on this subject. It's hopefully been sorted.

Wow! I never even saw this thread. I guess I've been selfishly preoccupied with my own troubles of late. I had wondered why I haven't seen Lyn G and Wolf around. I miss them. I miss everyone who hasn't been around!

I do hope every thing will work out and all will come back to the arms of all here who love them.Cry

Well, on with the new year people....if anything wants to leave how about this upcoming blizzard and 6 inces of snow for Chirstmas, I have had to rearrange my plans for dinner just in case we end up having to cook it ouside on the BBQ.for lack of electricity. Lost our "babysitter" also ..working on what we are going to do for that also. You know, just this year and the youngest starts school and it's been like pulling teeth to get through this..first my heart problems, then this..just like someone wants us to totally fail at having things go smoothly for us in life.  Would sure appreicate that leaving...if something has got to leave. Here's hoping the new year is better then the past bad ones with problems needing solved. come on back people that are missing...stop by and "visit' if your busy from time to time when you can.

Cathy, you gave me an bit of an chuckle...I was showing an guy our jokes this year and he noticed the avatars, and I was telling him how much I needed to get mine changed and learn the ways of photography on the web sites, and he came across cross your tooth monster picture up above, and gave me this kind "what's with this one?"....I looked at him and said, "I think she got an divorce this year or something, ...might be in recovery"..and he started laughing...he's divorced also, so he knows the fustration of dealing with it...and then some... then we both started laughing.... thanks for the light hearted moment with your avatar picture. Daughter in-law should get back her lap top and it's what we used the last time to get the avatar changed, and we now have the camera's unwrapped also. Things are looking up for the months ahead..we are even unmelting right now from all the snow!!!
