Hi Ray---I certainly noticed it and looked to me to be a Rollieflex 3.5F ( 1960-64) and closely related to my Rollie 3.5E which had metering, along with the same 3.5 Tessar lens. Never used the meter, but had a Sangamo-Weston Euromaster for that.I sold the Rollie in the late 70s for £50. But, today I still have a 4x4 Baby Rollieflex and a Yashicamat, which was a near-copy of the Rolliflex's of the late 50s into the 60's. The Mamiya's mentioned were the C220 and C330 you were proabably thinking of. Until going digital, also used a Bronica ETRS 645 format. |

All complete in an 'Omnica' leather press-man's bag. I too had a Yashica TLR before the Rollei. I have used a Bronica, and also a Hasselblad owned by a professional studio photographer friend of mine. That was an awsome bit of engineering and optics, but whether it justified the three or more grand price or not, I don't know! I would quite like to get a Bronica 6 x 6 now but have got lazy letting the camera work everything out. I still own a Minolta Dynax 7000i professional outfit which I use from time to time. It is Paul and I who are the dinosaurs living in the ancient world! (sorry Paul, I should be speaking for myself, not you!) Yours is a fine camera Richard. It doesn't matter what you use, as long as you enjoy your photography. |
