As kids we would argue over who would get the brains, and who would get the tongue. Nothing was wasted! We would also steal the boiled up potatoes that were mean't for the chickens before the bran was added! The good old days eh? |

You can buy them jellied now, but they used to get them right after the pig was butchered in the back garden. We had a meat hook in our kitchen, where the pig would hang after it had been bled.
