Keeping my fingers for you Diana!!  I think the axe will be swinging here too. My old supervisor was asking if I had some things in order which struck me as quite odd and my first thought was lay offs!!

Scary times. I have lost about 60% of my work - alot of what I have been doing was cessations.

Thinking about and praying for Terry, Krissy and Diana.

A few years ago my husband was laid off, we had just purchased our first home, and it was one week before Christmas. The gut wrenching feeling that lasted for days in my stomach is something I will never forget.

I'll be thinking about all of you and praying that your jobs don't go away.  It's really bad here too.  The state of Arizona has a 1.6 billion dollar deficit for this fiscal year which ends on June 30.  One of the departments they're cutting budget for by hundreds of millions is the one responsible for processing unemployment claims.  People are having to wait 3 or 4 months for their claims to go through.

Three to four months? That's horrible Ruth. Those poor souls. I hope they have enough set aside to get them through that period.

Thank you for your prayers. They mean a lot.Smile

Keeping our fingers crossed for you Diana---and others whose jobs are looking a bit dodgy as time goes on.

One Swedish lady thought she had a good idea when she went to a bank in Denmark with her Swedish Monopoly money and managed to convince them it was real, to change it for her.  After they did, she must have then thought she was onto a good thing and came back with some more---though the bank had wised up in the meantime.  When she returned with a fist full of Monopoly money, she was arrested.  I guess she's waiting to play her Get Out Of Jail Free card now Smile
