Well, this has changed considerably for me considering my current situation; however, before all of this happened, I had discontinued my home Internet service and my phone service because I have access to both of these at work.

The one thing I was not willing to give up (until now) was my once weekly visit to the local bookstore where I would sit in the cafe enjoying a latte and reading a book.

I would not give up internet and my home phone...my cell phone I would but the other two I need!

I've given up everything else...new clothes, manicures, magazines, books, newspapers, new car, going out to eat, going to the movies, sports, plays, concerts...pretty much everything!

Thank god for yard sales!!! I depend on them!!

It's amazing how much we spend without realizing, isn't it?  A few years ago, my co-workers and I figured that the cost of our morning coffee and bagel came to $780.00 dollars a year, each!!! I was appalled.

We have already cut down - I am saving as much as possible to tide us over the rough patch to come. I would not give up my disposable contact lenses! I kept them last time I was unemployed!!! I don't spend much really - I hate buying clothes, I have 1 haircut a year, I don't eat out or have takeaways because of my wheat allergy, my phone and internet is paid by the business. I have cut down buying things for the boys though - I tended to buy them something when we went out so I have limited that to birthdays and Christmas (Mrs Scrooge!!)

I understand exactly dear friends and feel almost obliged to comment. So, I have decided to give up water and drink more WHISHKEY! Joking aside it is tough isn't it, when will it ever end?

Just about an bit of everything these days in different ways, plus picked up helping others in the process...when I can that is..slim pickings more every year it seems, I read an book today how to save electricity costs. I've already done most of them years ago...Gesh!   One thing I won't give up, my bubble baths perhaps. Just something about them.
