It can be by (1) authority figure (2) expectations not able to deliver (3) lack of finances to walk away (4) Lack of education (5) favoritism by someone in betrayal and insecurity (6)nfair discplineby others and there's such things as drugs, medications, mind control operations going on secretly by our Governemnt if not others...yes, an Canadian gal won her case for that, it took her an long time to get others to believe her mind was being invaded by an outside source but she managed it...in proving it. In these small towns where everyone knows everyone, you have to take an ticket and wait your turn accordingly to whom the upper echlons dictate is next and be expected to perform in an set way to be part of the community..and in the familyit may not be to your liking but short of leaving the place you have no other choices allowed. For many they can' tfunction outside this arena..as they were tagged for an certain postion..trained for it and haven't the abilty to "change" or cope with outside situations... so one day they simply blow up and kill everyone to break free. Then themselves, because they know someone has been doing it for an long time anyway..why not? No gain, no loss. In years of untruth to an person about them in their life ..can also send one through the barrier...not to mention the influence of what others say. I lived in such an small town at one time, about the same size as this, there were the certain ones whom held every positon for control and made the most money and the rest of us took tickets for serving them and their needs. You can see it in the sections of town that have been renovated and those sections hardly ever touched after all these years. Nothing changed for the better there. I left the best I could. That's what this kid should of done, why he didn't ..who knows. Last but not least and hardly beleivable,,,,is an entity "walk-iin" alein. There's some suggestion that "X-files" came not from an "non-fictional" source to begin with. |

Then it showed happy, unhappy, laughing, crying, thinking, resting, achieving, etc. |

I don't watch the news - I just have a look on teletext to see what is happening. I found that the news was affecting Joseph adversely as a small child - he used to take everything to heart - he is a sensitive soul. He used to worry so much about the world. I decided from then on not to watch it. These mass killings are so disturbing and as Sue quite rightly says the individual knife killings and gun killings are increasing too. A few years ago my friends nephew was murdered on 23 December in Birmingham. He was 19 and a lovely lad, I had seen him grow up. He was stabbed in the back by a Polish immigrant who was arguing with Andy's friend and for some reason turned on Andy. It wasn't even on the news - there is so much killing now. |

It makes me wonder what on earth must be going on in these peoples minds? Let's hope these are the last such tragic occurences, I sincerely hope it never happens again. |

The weapons change but not the hatred, anger, greed, jealousy, envy, etc. There have been wars since the beginning of time and beforehand in the heavens. I think the most important thing we all can do is to strive to do our best and to treat others as we would want to be treated. And to teach our children well the same lessons. Can you imagine the outcome if all children were taught to love, share, care and be giving? |

But it isn’t only happening in America, as the news out of Germany indicates. It’s unfortunate, but as far as gun ownership in America is concerned, Americans love their “toys” and the pro-gun lobby headed by the NRA (national rifle assn) is very strong and does not want to see any gun restrictions at all. The group was once headed by Charlton Heston with his famous quote, “they can have my guns when they pry them out of my cold dead hands” or something to that effect. Ironic or what?
Gun ownership is a constitutional right in America and that history traces itself to Europe when only the lord of the manor could hunt game and poaching was a capital offense, even if you were only trying to feed your starving family. Or the king’s armed soldiers could evict you from your land and ruin or kill you. Our founding fathers saw this right as fundamental to freedom for self-defense, protecting property and putting game on the table. With their muzzleloader, black-powder guns, they could not have foreseen what truly weapons of mass destruction guns would become, to say nothing of the lucrative gun trade - selling arms illegally to drug cartels, inadvertently to terrorists, or legally to rogue governments. You people in England should be grateful for your tight restrictions, or it would be a bloodbath over there too, and maybe even worse than it is here.
The vast majority of gun owners are responsible and safe – it only takes one deranged person with a gun, full of hate and rage, to do a ton of damage. And of course that’s what makes the news. If there’s a shooting and only one or two people die, it isn’t even newsworthy any more. We’ve become desensitized to it. And I blame a lot of that on Hollywood – the shoot ‘em up movies and TV shows are still the moneymakers. And video games – when a kid’s head is continually filled with that crap every day, it isn’t real to him or her. Are we really any different than the crowds who packed the Roman arenas? We think we’re so civilized, but our society is actually very violent. It’s all part of the culture of death we live in.
I remember having the discussion with my son one day about the freedom we have under this right, and that like any other freedom, we pay a heavy price for it. I believe it averages out to something like 30,000 dead in our streets, per year, because “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” That’s 80 people die per day! How appalling is that?!? Tighter gun control laws will have no effect, except to restrict law-abiding people and make it easier for the criminals. It’s too late for us. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." Matt.22:37-40. I believe our children are full of hate and rage because, among other things, they are not been taught the kind of love described above, probably because they, the parents, weren't taught this kind of love. This is an element that is sorely lacking in human society and, I believe, the root cause of most, if not all, the world's woes. Evil thrives in the absence of this kind of love. |

Coupled with the violence on TV, movies, video games and even in music...they nearly glamorize violence. There are SO MANY shows on TV now that are so graphic and violent it's not wonder that people do the evil things they do. It's everywhere!! It's like teaching children that violence its the ONLY way to solve problems. |
