So sorry to see the damage on the television and hear of the suffering North east of Rome, yet hoping that our dear friend Maria is alright. Please let us know you're okay MG whilst sending prayers for the poor souls affected.

Yes, isn't thing something, and just before it hit one around this magnitude hit in Japan with it's epicenter 3 miles from an town over there, I haven' t heard anything about it either..it was 17 miles deep where this was was closer to the surface, and they make things worse. but anything over an 5 mag can be "rough" going. I actaully saw more on this from an British fellow turning it into your news then... from the place it happened at..good work Brits!!!

My sincere thanks to Ron and to those ones posting in  this thread, not to mention who contacted me by email.

I have to say we didn't hear a thing here in the north but, having a few relatives in the Rome area, we had a pretty tough morning. Everything turned out to be fine in the end....well, for them at least, not for everyone Cry.
