'Allo Mates!  Here I am, back at work.  Where did the weekend go?  Hope everyone had a pleasant, peaceful Easter.  I spent half a day on Saturday helping cook at church for our Easter brunch after our worship service yesterday.  Somehow, I got roped into making hot cross buns (for 120 people), which I've never done before!  I can tell you, there was a lot of praying done over those buns!  It was raining and humid and they didn't seem to want to rise properly.  But, I ate one yesterday at brunch and didn't die from it, so I suppose they turned out all right.  Other folks commented that they enjoyed them, so that's a relief.  The experience has served to inspire me to do more baking in future (perhaps even hot cross buns?).

I am so glad your hot cross buns turned out well Barbara.

For some reason, I just didn't realize that Easter had arrived, I was caught completely off guard, it was Good Friday before I twigged. So my traditional Hot Cross Buns didn't get made.

Hi Krissy, Sue, Diana!  Since I posted my last item above, I've been typing my fingers to the bone!  Whew!  What a Monday!  My e-pal in Wales was stunned to learn that we don't routinely get holidays for Good Friday and Easter Monday over here.  Yeah, what's up with that, America?

Good day to all of you. I

I am playing with the idea of cancelling my Doctor's appointment to remove my stitches today, and asking the Doctor I work with to do it tomorrow.

What do you think? It would save me my $35.00 co-pay.

Of course I would call my boss and ask him if he would do it before cancelling any appointment.
